We’re excited to introduce the new mvSlide 2026 Fluorescence Slide Scanning Edition — featuring several upgrades, including a highly requested capability: pixel binning.

Why pixel binning?

When working with weak fluorescence, every photon counts. Pixel binning combines the charge of adjacent sensor pixels into a single “super-pixel,” which delivers:

Higher sensitivity for low-intensity samples

Shorter exposure times → reduced photobleaching & phototoxicity

Faster acquisition → higher frame rates for dynamic processes

Depending on your application, you can flexibly choose between 2×2, 4×4, or 8×8 binning — always tailored to your sample and research question.

📌 In short: see more, capture faster, and image more gently.
